Tina Terrahe
Tina Terrahe began learning the classical violin at the age of four. She played in the Hessian Youth Symphony Orchestra and took lessons at the academy of music in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. After twenty years of classical violin lessons she became interested in playing Irish music; she took lessons from Stephan Schneider and also became involved with the bands Lynch the Box and Steampacket, with whom she played for several years. In sessions she is called the ‘high-voltage powerhouse’ and also goes by the name ‘Shooting Star’ in the German traditional Irish music scene.
